I\u2019m told, but didn\u2019t hear it myself, that at about 3:30am there were a bunch of yahoos in the vicinity having a great time. I slept through the commotion. Several of the other sites were talking about it this morning. I have to say that one of the downsides, and yet sometimes interesting features, of communal campsite living is listening to your neighbours conversations, whether you want to or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a small cafe in Yamba that serves Turkish food. People up and down the coast have recommended it to us so we booked for lunch today at 11am (yes I know that\u2019s early but it\u2019s the only booking that they take, the rest is on a first come, first served basis).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yamba is a very picturesque town, surrounded by several beaches which all face a slightly different direction so that when it\u2019s onshore at one, it\u2019s probably offshore at one of the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yamba Beach is a classic example of a NSW beach, with a pub nearby, a surf club, an ocean or rock pool and a stand of Norfolk Pines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
